The U.S. population is aging and while many are living longer, they often have multiple chronic conditions. Did you know that it is estimated that 10,000 Baby Boomers will turn 65 every day? Baby Boomers are those who were born between 1946 and 1964. It is projected that more than 60% of this generation will be managing more than one chronic condition by 2030. The primary care givers are generally the children in their 50’s who may not be physically able to care for their parents. This is fueling demand for Long Term and Resident care, where they count on Certified Nurses Aides to care for the residents.
Projected increase in the number of Baby Boomers aged 80 and older from 2010 to 2030.
The demand for Certified Nurses Aides (CNA’s) is growing at a 11% rate through 2026 according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
That works out to 177,700 new CNA jobs!
