What is a typical salary of a Pharmacy Technician?

Pharmacy technician starting pay is typically over $14 per hour. Pay varies on the job and location. 

How long does it take to be certified as a Pharmacy Technician?

Our program is a combination of classroom, lab and externship that will take approximately six months to complete.

Do I need to take a class again if I move out of the area?

Once you pass the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) offered through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB),  you can find work anywhere in the US.

Will I find work right away after I earn my certification?

Our students have all been employed after graduation and the US Department of Labor predicts strong growth for years to come.

What requirements are there to enter a class?

We conduct a short intake test to determine if you are prepared to learn the curriculum, similar to an entrance exam at a college.

Will this qualify me to become a Pharmacist?

To become a Pharmacists will require up to eight years of college between undergraduate work and the PharmD.

What are the typical responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician?

Duties depend on the type of location, but include the preparation and dispensing of medications.
