Home Health Aide Bridge
The Bridge Program of Home Health Aide Training is designed only for students who have already earned their Certified Nurse Aide CNA certification, or have completed a minimum 75 hour nurse aide training program. In addition to the health care training they have already completed, this program offers them an opportunity to provide home health care.
Students in the program learn the following:
Introduction to Home Care, Safety in the Home, Medications in Home Care, Infection Prevention, Shopping, Food Storage and Preparation, Meal Planning, Managing Households and Maintaining Home Environments.
The lab and lecture classes are held at the training facility simulated lab, which is onsite. Students in the program have either (1) completed a minimum 75 hour nurse aide training program or (2) earned their CNA certificate.
- Home Health Aide Bridge is a one-day class offered once every five weeks.
- The class is approximately eight hours.
